Upon arrival at the airport you will meet your instructor for your lesson. After safety briefings and a lesson on the principles of aircraft flying you will be shown around the plane. The instructor will show you the cockpit and will give you a run down on the controls. Then it's time for you to take to the skies. If the instructor feels confident that you are ready you will be given the controls and have the chance to pilot the aircraft yourself. The lesson will last for approximately 60 minutes.

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months, for one person. Once this is received you are free to book a lesson with the aviation school. If you are over 16 stone or 6'4" you will need to state this on point of booking as a surcharge may be required for a larger aircraft (this will be paid directly to the aviation school). On the day you will need to become a member of the club; this is free of charge and is necessary to allow you to be covered by the club's insurance. Family and friends are welcome to come along to watch. The minimum age for this experience is 14 years old; however anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All instructors at the school are qualified by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and aircrafts are fully maintained to the standards demanded by the CAA by a qualified maintenance organization. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day, so clients are advised to phone the morning of their lesson to check the conditions are suitable.
