Upon arrival at the flying club you will be introduced to your instructor who will take you to the operations room for a short briefing before the flight. You will discuss how the plane works, where you will fly and the controls and instruments of the aircraft. Then it's time to step into the left-hand seat (Captain's chair) of the cockpit. The instructor will be sat beside you and will taxi the plane to the aircraft to the runway, where you will take off. Once airborne, you will be taught the basics of handling a light aircraft, and then complete control is passed over to you. After your flying lesson you can purchase a log book from the club where the flight time can be recorded and count toward the Private Pilot Course if you decide to pursue a career or hobby as a pilot. Remember to bring a camera as there will be plenty of great photo opportunities. The lesson will last for half an hour.
