You will take control of the plane once in the air and soar through the sky. When you come down to reality you will be presented with a certificate to congratulate you on your flying achievements and will be given a log book to record your flying hours just like a professional pilot!

On arrival at the air center you will be introduced to your pilot who will instruct you throughout. You will have a pre-flight briefing for approximately 10 minutes where your instructor will explain what will happen during your flight and will answer any queries you have. Then your instructor will take you round the plane and make sure you're comfortable. Then it's time for takeoff! Once you are airborne there will be a quick run through of the controls and then you are in charge. After your flying experience your instructor will take over and land the plane. When you are safely on ground you will be issued with a certificate and given a log book so you can record your flight times and feel like a professional pilot.

Notes

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months, for one person. Once you have received your voucher you are free to call the air center and book your lesson. When you book it is essential to inform the center if you are over 6’4” or over 16 stone as an extra charge maybe necessary as a bigger plane maybe required. The minimum age for this experience is 14 years old. If the participant is under 18 a parent or guardian needs to join them on the day. Family and friends are welcome to come along and take pictures and watch you fly. It is essential that you become a temporary member of the air center on the day, it is free of charge and it ensures you are covered by the center's insurance. Food will not be provided; however, there is an on-site restaurant and some vending machines. The planes and maintenance department are CAA/EASA 145 approved. Lessons run 7 days a week and if you enjoy your air time so much your flying time will count towards a full flying license. All lessons are subject to availability and weather conditions on the day and so clients are advised to phone the morning of the lesson to check if it is safe to fly.
